Last December, they said that it was the worst snowfall Fairfax has ever seen in eight long years. With around 15 inches depth of snow, it sure stacked up the streets for more than a week. It is always a fun to be out in the snow. Wear the right kind of dresses and you will be fine. I know a friend who went out in the snow wearing shorts.
In fact, snow is not the worst thing you would like to face. Chilly and frosty windows sans snow would be a living hell to face. One day at New York, we had to go to a nearby shop to get vegetables and that was the first time I faced such heavy cold. The gusty winds whipped over my face and through my coats. The stats said that it was less than -20 c. It was not so long before hands started feeling numb.
Last week, the meteorological department had one bigger announcement to make. A snowstorm, which was worse than the storm that struck the I-95 corridor last December, struck last week and snow piled on for two days up to two feet high. Before they could clear up the mess, there was another announcement – an announcement that there will be a little more snow that is pending on Wednesday. So it not just snowed, but also topped up with chilly winds that made snow flow horizontally.
Due to this, I think the entire I-95 corridor had declared a holiday due to inclement weather. It so happened that the entire working week was shut down to allow people to safeguard themselves at homes. What seemed like a trailer to the Spring break turned out to be a complete one week break! It is all happening!
